Unscreened Twisted Pair Cables are easier to produce and more cost-effective than screened cables. The sheath/shield, made mostly of copper or pure aluminium, helps reduce the wire’s cost. Unshielded cables contain only the twisted pair with the main outer sheath/insulation.
