CAT6A is the preferred cable for future-proofing cabling and 10-GbE networks. There are two types of CAT6A cables: unshielded (UTP), and shielded(F/UTP). F/UTP stands for foiled/unshielded pair. It consists of four unshielded, twisted pairs that are encased within an overall foil shield.
